Rest
Speechless before you,
Holy Mother,
there is a humbled
tumbling in
to your spacious lap
of quiet welcome.
Empty-handed once again,
without a thing
to offer you,
I offer you myself~
This open, aching heart,
this faithful body
of weary bones
and seasoned bows,
this precious face
of telling lines
and honest light,
this fumbling mind
of flaw and flight.
I offer you my soul,
tenderly disenchanted now
with the search
for anything other
than what is here.
Like this, I am offered
and now received by you,
so simply, as I am.
Listen closely, I am
listening closely
to your merciful silence
that sings and shines
eternally from the center
of this only moment.
I am finding rest in you.
I am finding Life.

Into The Arms Of The Holy
Into The Arms of The Holy Oh leaning back, leaning all the way back, into the arms of the Holy. Letting go of the reigns, completely. Letting what’s always been taking care of it all take care of this, too. And when we doubt, and when we fear, and when we want less...
